Northampton equalised to make it 1-1, as Jon Guthrie scored, in the 21st minute.
After that the game came to a long standstill. It took until the 73rd minute before Josh Andrews gave Rochdale the lead.
The 1-3 goal came in the 90th minute, when Abraham Odoh scored a goal for Rochdale. The 3-1 goal was the last one of the game.
