The first half of Wednesday’s game in the Championship was a goalless affair but the third period saw the away side Blackburn get their things in order. And in the end, they beat Nottingham Forest 1-2.
The first half was goalless, but straight after half-time, Daniel Ayala made his mark as he scored to give Blackburn Rovers the lead.
In the 69th minute, Philip Zinckernagel found the net, to equalise for Nottingham Forest.
The deciding goal came right at the end of the game, when Darragh Lenihan scored a 1-2 for Blackburn Rovers. The 2-1 goal was the last one of the game.
Nottingham Forest’s Jordan Gabriel was sent off in the 90th minute.
Nottingham Forest are still winless after three games, while Blackburn Rovers have taken seven points in four games.
The teams play again on Saturday, with Nottingham hosting Stoke City at bet365 Stadiumand Blackburn hosting West Brom.
