The Data Zone: Veretout’s two goals help Roma overcome Fiorentina

Hosts Roma claimed three points against visiting Fiorentina on Sunday in the Italien Serie A. The game finished 1-3 (0-1).

With barely 30 minutes on the clock, Roma’s Jordan Veretout found the net, from a pass from Tammy Abraham, and gave Roma the lead.

Jordan Veretout again increased Roma’s lead, with an assist by Eldor Shomurodov, in the 79th minute. The 3-1 goal was the last one of the game.

The last meeting between the teams ended in a 1-2 away win for Roma in March 2021.
